Delivery | Setup overview
For the Delivery options to function correctly, adding a custom shipping rate based on weight is needed.
STEP 1
Navigate to your general Shipping Settings from Shopify -> identify your shipping rates and click on them (if no shipping rates are created, please setup shipping rates before continuing).
STEP 2
Go to the “*Shipping zones**” subsection and click “**Add rate**” (if no shipping zone is displayed, create a shipping zone before continuing)
STEP 3
For “Rate type” -> select “Use flat rate”
For “Shipping rate” -> select “Custom”
For “Custom rate name**” -> Add a name of your choosing to the shipping rate such as "*Local delivery" it is recommended to ad an * at the beginning of the rate name, in order to be displayed always first during checkout
For “Price” -> let the field empty
For ”Minimum weight” -> set to 20,000 lbs (or 10,000 kgs if you are using the metric system) Important! Please note that those are 20 thousands lbs or 10 thousands kgs. This step is very important, please don't skip it. If you encounter any issues, feel free to email us at support@thecreativer.com
For ”Maximum weight” -> set 199000 lbs (or 89000 kgs)
Click "Done" and then "Save" on top right corner to save your new shipping option
